Fever Consultations
Fever Consultations
To protect our patients, their families, our local community, and our staff from the risk of infectious diseases, our clinic is proactively implementing strict infection prevention measures to ensure a safe and secure environment for everyone. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation.
For Patients with Fever or Cold Symptoms
We welcome Fever Consultations for all patients, regardless of whether you have visited our clinic before.
We provide care for patients experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue, or any other signs of a potential infectious disease.
To prevent the spread of infection, we separate patient routes both spatially and temporally (e.g., guiding you directly to a designated treatment room without passing through the general waiting area, or adjusting appointment times). Please be sure to call us in advance before visiting the clinic.
Our Infection Control Initiatives (Facility Standards)
Our clinic meets the facility standards for the "Outpatient Infection Control Premium" and "Fever Patient Care Premium," and we have implemented the following protocols:
-
Assignment of an Infection Control Manager
The Clinic Director serves as the Infection Control Manager. We have created an infection control manual based on standard precautions and promote infection prevention measures across all staff members.
-
Appropriate Separation of Patient Routes
If a highly infectious disease is suspected, patients will be guided directly from the entrance to a designated treatment room, bypassing the general waiting area, to separate their route from general outpatient consultations.
-
Collaboration with Other Medical Institutions
We have established a collaborative network with regional core hospitals and the local medical association. We continually strive to improve our infection control measures through regular information exchange and participation in joint conferences.
-
Designated Type-2 Collaborative Medical Institution
Our clinic is designated by the prefectural governor as a "Type-2 Collaborative Medical Institution." We maintain a system to provide care for patients with fever and other symptoms upon request from local authorities in the event of an outbreak of a new infectious disease.
-
Proper Use of Antimicrobials
We are committed to the proper use of antimicrobial agents (antibiotics) in reference to the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. To help prevent the emergence of drug-resistant bacteria, we do not prescribe antibiotics for viral colds and other conditions where they are ineffective.
A Safe and Secure Medical Environment
*Please note that when we provide care with appropriate infection prevention measures for patients presenting with fever or other symptoms suggestive of infectious diseases, designated consultation fees such as the "Fever Patient Care Premium" will be applied in accordance with the national health insurance system.
